Joseph Hu has many years of experience as a consultant,
and a broad range of experience in the aerospace, financial,
entertainment, and healthcare industries.
Joseph is the author of the official NT port of AGENT++
which is a world famous class library for developing SNMP
agents.
He defined the enterprise architecture for ADP and developed
web sites for Avery Dennison Office Products.
He was a principle architech for the Tokyo DisneySea gigabit
network. He designed the protocol and developed applications
for Voice, Video, and Data monitor and control. He wrote
the messaging system that is being used in Disney's theme
parks in California, Florida, and Paris. He also developed
embedded software for vehicle control.
For the Hollywood movie industry, he designed and implemented
cross-platform class libraries that do image processing
on NT ang SGI server farms.
He worked as a consultant to Peter Norton and developed
Windows Utility programs. He also programmed RouterMeister,
an application that gathers Cisco Router configuration data,
analyzes them, automatically creates netwroks diagrams,
and suggests enterprise network setups.
While working at Jet Propulsion Laboratory, he was tasked
to rewrite the Magellan Ground Control system. He devised
parallel expert systems where all sequence of events are
processed simultaneously on all 3 time axis (Earth transmit,
Spacecraft, and Earth Recieve). This improved the processing
speed ten times. For this contribution, he received two
NASA Quality and Productivity awards and the Magellan project
Official Letter of Appreciation.
He developed a Foreign Exchange trading systemfor Security
Pacific Bank (later acquired by Bank of America). Fully
distributed, this was the only trading system to survive
the New York City blackout. Processing was automatically
routed from New York to Singapore. He also designed and
wrote financial news feed system based on an Adaptive Learning
Algorithm and saved the bank more than one million dollars
a year.
Joseph is a Certified Versata Instructor, Microsoft Certified
Solution Developer, and Sun Certified Java Programmer. He
pursued his Ph.D studies at CalTech and wrote his thesis
on Artificial Intelligence and Pattern Recognition.
